Ben Marcovitz,

Ben is the founder of Collegiate Academies (C.A.), a network with more than twice the percentage of students with disabilities, three times the number of multilingual and/or justice-involved learners, and students who are 2+ years behind as the surrounding city. C.A. has helped achieve better outcomes for these students than the state of Louisiana has produced for students without disabilities (and also some of the most consistently high CREDO effect sizes in history). Collegiate has scaled this model across all of their schools and is a frequent stop for CMOs and districts nationwide looking to build better programs for their students who are often marginalized. Ben has been asked to consult and provide coaching to multiple school systems as they pursue these levers for change. He is also the parent of a child with significant special needs who has lived the journey of being told his child had no chance of a productive life to seeing her develop into a joyful and expressive learner.
